Post-Summer Update

Hi Friends!

Sorry it's been a while.  We've had a great (but busy) summer.  Since our last update after the Calgary Marathon, we've spent a lot of our time building our fence and deck, hanging out with interns, going to Mexico and continuing to raising support for to join staff at eMi full-time.

Summer Interns:
The summer interns were awesome (as expected).  We had three architects and three engineers that came from Vancouver, Oklahoma, Minnesota and Calgary to serve with eMi on three different projects (Ghana, Haiti and Ecuador).  It's always enjoyable to hear everyone's story and journey towards ministry with us.

dress up and speak in accents)

Fall Interns/Myanmar:
Now, our summer interns have left and we have two great new interns who leave in two weeks for their project trip to Myanmar.  Please pray for their team (led by Kevin) as there have been difficulties with some important travel details.

Ride For Refuge:
Our next "big thing" at eMi is the Ride For Refuge - a bike-a-thon on October 4th that happens in 24 cities across Canada.  This is a fundraiser that will help eMi design a missions college campus in Myanmar and an orphanage in Haiti.  This year, I have the privilege of captaining our team, and will be riding 25 km in the Calgary ride.

If you'd like to support me in the ride, please click here to go to my fundraising page.
If you'd like to ride with us, please click here to sign up with one of our teams.

Fundraising Update:
As has been the trend in the past, this summer was slow for us from a fundraising perspective.  We're praying that it picks up now that the school year has started.  As always, we are trusting that God's timing is best, while continuing to pray that he allows me to start full-time soon.  If you're interested in learning more or know someone who does, we'd love to hear from you!

Looking forward to giving y'all some more frequent updates this fall!

Braden
